This is the lovely Cove Lake in Campbell County, Tennessee, USA.  The picture is slightly old; I took it either last summer or summer before that.

This is my friend Erik King, taken in 2009.  I submitted it to the BBC for their weekly reader gallery for the theme "Hands."  The idea is based on a quote from T.A. Barron's The Fires of Merlin.  "Is the music in the strings or in the hands that pluck them?"

Washington National Zoo highlights

This little guy was hanging out in the cheetah enclosure.  Guess he likes his rocks.
